British actor Henry Cavill will leave The Witcher after the third season.
The Netflix streaming service has released a full trailer for the second part of the third season of the popular fantasy series The Witcher (The Witcher), in the final of which Henry Cavill will say goodbye to the role of Geralt of Rivia.
In the new video, the creators of the series hinted that viewers are in for a tough and bloody finale of the season.
Note that the third season of The Witcher series has eight episodes and is divided into two parts: the first five episodes were released on June 29, 2023, the remaining three should be released on July 27.
In the first part of the season, witcher mercenary Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and his beloved sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) tried to solve personal problems in a relationship, train their adopted daughter Ciri (Freya Allan) and, of course, resist the new big evil and political games. Meanwhile, bard Buttercup (Joey Batey) seems to have found himself a very unexpected new love interest and… still hasn’t released a new big hit.
As GNM reported earlier, back in the fall of 2022, it became known that British actor Henry Cavill would leave The Witcher after the third season. At the same time, the creators of the show announced the fourth season and announced that the role of Geralt will be played by Australian actor Liam Hemsworth (“The Hunger Games”).
At the same time, the showrunners of the series promised that they would replace the lead actor as close as possible to the canon depicted in the original books and stories of the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, as well as the video games released after that.
