It’s official, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not be released in 2022 on consoles and PC. Rocksteady Studios (Batman Arkham) has confirmed the Jason Schreier rumor.
The sources of Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier hit the nail on the head again. The next game from Rocksteady Studios (Batman Arkham), Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, will not be available until 2023. Basically, the crazy gang was supposed to come knocking on our door in 2022.
A significant postponement
Already without a pandemic, it can be complicated to keep a calendar, but the health crisis has put serious impediments in the wheels of the video game industry. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment was not spared since their Gotham Knights was due out in 2021, and the same for Hogwarts Legacy: The Hogwarts Legacy which is preparing its release for the end of the year.
Another day, another game, another delay, that of Suicide squad: Kill the Justice League which will finally land in the spring of 2023. It was Sefton Hill, creative director and co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, who broke the bad news:
We’ve made the difficult decision to push Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League back to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating, but this extra time will allow us to make the best game possible. I can’t wait for us to mess things up in Metropolis together. Thank you for your patience.
Suicide Squad: The Deglingos Team
For this adaptation, Rocksteady Studios will be inspired by comics, not films released in cinemas. But unlike the Batman Arkham games, this one will be playable solo or up to four players online. The configuration will not affect the fact that you will be able to embody (and switch at will) the lover of the Joker Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark who will devour enemies.
Discover the origins of Amanda Waller’s famous Task Force X (also known as Suicide Squad) and follow Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark as they reluctantly embark on their mission to take down the greatest superheroes DC of the world: the Justice League. Set in the vast open world of the city of Metropolis, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League pits the four DC Super Villains against alien invaders and the DC Super Heroes, whose goal is now to destroy the city qu they wanted to protect first. Additionally, members of the Suicide Squad have deadly explosive charges implanted in their heads that could detonate at the slightest sign of resistance.
In addition to extraterrestrial enemies, the Task Force will be confronted with members of the Justice League like Flash or Superman who will have accounts to settle with this clique of crazy people who like to fight hard.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming Spring 2023 to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
