The first details of Insomniac Games’ new PS5 game have been revealed through a job posting, and it’s a new IP. An exclusively multiplayer or purely solo title?
The next game from Insomniac Games, which will be a multiplayer title, is being revealed discreetly. Unfortunately for those who expected a return of Resistance, the franchise is going to sleep a little longer.
A new multiplayer IP for Insomniac Games
As discovered by the Twisted Voxel site, Insomniac Games is currently in need of an art director for its third project. And it is now sure, it will be a good one new multiplayer PS5 game based on new license.
The successful candidate will take care of the “art direction in a multiplayer environment”. Information already specified in previous offers. But the applicant will also contribute “planning pre-production and developing a new license with the creative directors”. Exit therefore the potential return of Resistance, a Sunset Overdrive 2 with multiplayer or a Marvel game in the short or medium term.
This title from Insomniac Games is only in pre-production and should therefore not be released for a few years. And that can be understood since the Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart studio is already monopolized by two big AAA: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine. Games that are expected, at best, for 2023 and 2024 respectively exclusively on PS5. See you in 2025 for this new software? Wait & see.
