Authoritative observers have named the best moment to assemble a gaming PC – GNM

Processors, RAM and SSDs are now at record lows.

According to the authors of the popular YouTube channel about Hardware Unboxed, the summer of 2023 is the very moment when assembling a gaming PC from scratch will be a really profitable investment.

According to them, recent months are characterized by a significant decline in demand for ready-made computer solutions and components for them. This, in turn, led to the accumulation of their excess stocks.

  • For example, journalists claim that RAM has fallen in price to a record low. Since 2023, the cost of DDR5 RAM has fallen by almost 60%.
  • The rest of the components are also now extremely profitable: after the “death” of mining with the availability and price of new video cards, the situation has become noticeably better, and already cheap SSDs have become even cheaper.
  • Moreover, the price cut also affected the processor segment. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D, popular with gamers, has fallen in price by more than 30% – now its average cost is $320, and at a discount it can be “snatched” for $270.

Thus, a gaming PC for Full HD resolution, which will “pull” all the games, today will cost no more than $ 600-700, although a year ago it was necessary to pay more than a thousand dollars for it.

Which PC is played by the most gamers in the world in 2023

As you may know, Valve releases detailed reports every month on the hardware and software of Steam users. It allows you to find out which PC build is played by the most gamers.

Statistics show that despite the fact that recently video cards have fallen in price, gamers are in no hurry to upgrade. The most popular model among Steam gamers is still the GeForce GTX 1650. In second and third places are the RTX 3060 and GTX 1060.

As for processors, in 2023 six-core models from Intel with a frequency of 2.3-2.69 GHz dominate. Speaking of RAM, 16 GB of RAM is considered the “golden mean”. At the same time, more and more users, based on Steam statistics, prefer Windows 11.
