It must be said for the moment there is not much to get your teeth into about the Star Wars Kotor remake. But things could well change.
The remake of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is still very mysterious and we know absolutely nothing about it since its announcement. We only know that the game will be available on PS5 and PC. But recently, Embracer Group which owns the Aspyr Media studio behind the game made its financial report.
Any Star Wars game news?
Matthew Karch, board member of Embracer Grouper and CEO of Saber Interactive (which is also involved in the development of this Star Wars game) explained that the game is “essentially” remade from scratch.
“Aspyr has gone all out to make this the best game they can make. When we acquired Aspyr, we knew from the start that they would need our help. Saber has immense expertise in making these games. /types of products We’ve done this on Halo – on several Halo products – we’ve done this on other titles that we’ve remastered on other platforms.
We’re fully confident that this Star Wars Kotor game is going to be fantastic, but it’s a massive product, and massive products take a lot of effort and a lot of time to do well. And also because we’re talking about a game that’s already old – very old – we basically had to redo this one from scratch. I would say that in the next few months you will hear more about it.
Excluded PS5
The Saber Interactive CEO also hinted at the deal Sony has made for the remake, securing it as a PS5 exclusive (even though the game is also releasing on PC). In short, there is no doubt that many are waiting for this game which is still considered today as the best Star Wars game in history.
