We definitely haven’t finished hearing about God of War Ragnarok today. The game returns with new speculation, around its release date this time.
Only a few hours after God of War Ragnarok obtained its classification from the Korean accredited body, a window of release is emerging a little more.
A release in September for God of War Ragnarok?
This is enough to fuel speculation around the upcoming release of God of War Ragnarok. While the game is expected to show up at an upcoming State of Play or at the Summer Game Fest, the next production from Santa Monica Studio has received its classification from the Korean equivalent of PEGI. As an indication, Horizon Forbidden West had obtained its own three months before its release. An announcement should therefore be imminent, with a key date.
And it is now official derivative products that are reviving the rumors around the launch of the game. Several t-shirts and other merchandising have appeared at one of the British specialists in geek goodies. The Geeky Zone store has just added a series of items bearing the image of God of War Ragnarök with an estimated release for the end of September 2022.
If the date of the goodies does not mean anything in itself, it does however suggest that Kratos and Atreus will return to PS4 and PS5 by the start of the school year. Indeed this kind of merch is available in a window close to the release of the game to accompany its launch. It is therefore likely that God of War Ragnarok will indeed be released in September, as rumors have suggested, especially since the developers have confirmed on several occasions that it will be available in 2022. In any case, it will take once again wait for an official communication from Sony before getting carried away. And we hope it will happen quickly, very, very quickly.
